Star Log Cabin Quilt
My grandson saw a picture of a log cabin hidden star quilt on Pinterest. I found Eleanor Burns Star Log Cabin Book on line and decided to go with it. He loved the colors in the picture on Pinterest but could not find what I needed at my local quilt shops. This was my first experience with MSQC. I found most of what i needed here. I did pick up fleece backing and a few pieces at Joanns. Your batiks were beautiful and wonderful quality. I barely finished in time for Christmas gifting. He absolutely loves his quilt

Dresden Plate
This is a 4 generation quilt. My grandmother started the plates. My mother and sister worked on it also. It was then given to me. I finished it with my 10 year old granddaughter. She also picked the washing, corner stones and the puffy yoyo button adorned centers.

Daughter's Christmas quilt
Pieced and longarm quilted this for my daughter. The pattern is MSQ pattern checkered lattice and the material was bought at MSQ last june when I went to the KC quilt show.

ribbon star quilt
I used a roll of "Mirage" by RJR fabrics to make this ribbon star quilt. Used Navy dot fabric for background and kona cotton navy for the border and binding. Changed up the boarder a bit and added some little stars in the sashing. Navy minky on the back. Used free motion quilted feathers and tried some ruler work in the boarder. Challenges in this quilt: using a dark fabric on the back required dark bobbin thread and some tension manipulation to try minimize the bobbin thread showing on quilt top. If anyone has a secret minimizing bobbin thread showing let me know!
