This little Piggie went to market!
I decided to try appliqué so I drew a piggie and hand appliqués it onto a square. I thought I should make a boy colored quilt for my future grand children. This quilt goes onto my quilting stand next to hand quilt.

If You Go Out in The Woods Today
This is my second attempt at appliqué. This flannel quilt is made from left overs from another project. I saw similar bears and trees and moose in magazine and tried my best to draw them as I am not an artist they are just similar to the original animals. I thought since they needed light to prowl in the darkness I had better frame them with stars so designed star blocks to frame them. This lap quilt will be for snuggling up in when we are camping in our fifth wheel.

Sewing fool
I just bought my first sewing machine last January, and after completing my first quilt, I decided to do a bunch of smaller projects to practice sewing. The wall hanging is a design by Patch Abilities, Inc. Everything else, I just designed myself. The last pic is of an apron I made for my sister in law who loves Halloween. I saw a similar one in a quilt store, but drew out my own design and used my butterick apron pattern.

Disappearing Hour Glass Quilt
I was fascinated by Jennie's Disappearing Hour Glass quilt. I had to try it! I used some juvenile fabric from a solar system fabric that I had on hand to make a charity baby quilt. I loved the results. Now I have got to make a full size one for myself. I think pattern would be good for a Quilt of Valor quilt in red, white, and blue, too!

Vintage Tablecloth Quilt
Here's my Mother's Day weekend gift: It's a vintage tablecloth with added border to serve as a tablecloth at the Mother-Daughter Tea Party at my M-i-L's senior living complex. My M-i-L is 82, has 4 sons and no daughters, and was going to skip the event but I objected---because. I want to go with her! My job: decorate the table for the party, bring the food, and the Sr. Living Center will provide the tea selections. She's been planning this for a month and calling with ideas. This is her gift following the party. Sadly, I did not have time for custom so I did an E2E. Hoping she will be happy...and feel the love!
