I started quilting about two years ago and was hooked instantly. I've always loved beautiful fabric so when my sister called and talked me into a paper piecing class and since we had a new grandbaby on the way I thought, why not. That was it! She told me about MSQC and I haven't missed a day to watch Jenny's tutorials, scoop up on daily deals, visit the forum to see all the beautiful projects and now on quilts by me. Love being part of the quilting community.

Friends Forever
We have the best friends! After a bible study we did together we have committed to pray for each others kids. How could I not make a special gift for people who love us and our kids that much.

For Catie
This is the first quilt I ever made. My sister talked me into a paper piecing class and I've been hooked ever since. A non-traditional log cabin made for baby Catie, grandchild no. 7! The girls at my local quilt shop helped pick out the fabrics. I used the left over fabric for the back.

I learned to sew on this quilt. Everything involved was new to me- from using a rotary cutter, making 1/4" seam allowances, putting on a border (or three) sandwiching, quilting, using a walking foot, and the binding, From start to finish, I looked up each new step as I came to it or watched a video on how to do it. I was able to complete the quilt before Christmas 2014 and give it to my kiddo as a present. He loves this quilt and I love that it is keeping him snuggly warm in our bitter cold winters here. This quilt is a keeper and will stay in our family.
