First, I started to do a mystery quilt in piece by number with the site http://www.paperpanache.com/ and it turned out to be a nice ladybird. I was wondering what to do with it when I received a nice texto. One of my best friend just had a little girl called "Camille". I as in vacation in Brittany at see side and decided to do a small Blanket for Camille... I searched and found a nice model on Moda: Love layer cake pattern. (http://www.unitednotions.com/Moda-Love-Layer-Cake-Quilt.pdf ).I selected the same fabric color than for the lady bird and did the nice quilt. For the quilting, I followed the advices of the craftsy class: Creative quilting with your walking foot from Jacquie Gering and I'm really happy to have followed her advice on making a spiral quilting... Result can be seen on the picture... I'm really proud and had some difficulties to give it away... But the baby was so nice and so nicely protected that I'm finally really happy! Life is beautiful! Monkey Business Sew Solid

For 2016, year of the monkey, I've used the sew solid pattern to create this nice monkey. https://youtu.be/BP1i9D0p7Js I think I will offer it to the child care as they have taken care of my two kids Jean 5 1/2 and Louise 2 1/2 and I'm pretty sur the kids will love this mini quilt as mine. I have no pictures of the back, but I'-ve put some bananas and this is really fun. Even the back is very modern and fun... I'll try to had a picture later...

Joie Bretonne

A wonderful quilt full of love... It started with a model from Kate Spain (Joy: http://www.unitednotions.com/fp_joy.pdf), but I decided to change the fabrics and used Horizon (http://www.unitednotions.com/fcc-horizon.pdf), also by Kate Spain. It took me so long time... Spanning over at least 1,5 years... Even for the binding... The quilting was done in south of France (http://www.quilting-petitar.com/nos-r%C3%A9alisations/)... And they did just an absolutely wonderful job... I was so inspired by a course from Jacquie Gering (Creative quilting with your walking foot from Craftsy) and I asked them to do something similar which was probably much harder than what they thought because they aligned lines on the pinwheels... Also my white fabric was a very old linen sheet from my grand mother (Marie, from "Le moulin de Lancette"). It was very difficult to work with for quilting... But I'm so glad that it is now included in this wonderful quilt! The background fabrics from Linvosge (mer du sud http://www.linvosges.com/fr/la-chambre/linge-de-lit/linge-de-lit-fantaisie/mer-du-sud/) and was unexpectedly so well suited. The pictures took time but it was worth waiting to be in Bretagne!! The colors and the weather were just what I needed. Thanks also to my models in front of the quilt and to my husband who is fighting with the wind behind the quilt... Love of my family is so important!

Open your window in automn

I saw the wonderful quilt "open your window by "zen chic" : http://farbstoff-bridge.blogspot.fr/2013/12/this-is-perfect-thing-for-layer-cake.html?m=1 I had a layer cake of grate colors just perfect for my mom and with automn tons... This is from "fig tree". For this one I did everything... I quilted on my own sewing machine with great advices from a course from Jakie gering from craftsy. The waves are great on this nice red early fabric from the back... I'm really happy with the final aspect and it made a wonderful gift for my mother...

Windy

Didn't measure a thing. I simply used the Easy Pinwheel tutorial. I used Kona white and Kona brights layer cakes. Quilted using a bright lime green thread to exactly match the same color Kona solid. The quilt is 7 blocks by 6 blocks for a total of 42...the top row is over the fence so it doesn't show. And the dark shape in the bottom right corner is photobombing Petey, my Pibble mix.

Shades of Purple

Irish Chain

I used up some scraps from a Jelly Roll of Simply Style to create this Irish Chain. These are my favorite type of quilts - just scraps! I photographed it by the harbor of 99 Islands (Kujukushima) in Sasebo, Japan. The opening credits of 'The Last Samuri' were filmed here!
