I am a 71 year old quilter who enjoys creating Quilts of Valor for our veterans and service persons. It is so much fun when we award a quilt to a vet who did not know of the organization until they got wrapped in their quilts! Many of the Viet Nam Vets never got any acknowledgement of their sacrifice when they returned from sactibve duty. They invariably burst out in tears of happiness to finally get some love!
