My Grandmother was in her 80's when she took ill. She was a professional seamstress all her life and loved to sew. She was in a coma in the hospital when I came to visit, she awoke long enough to tell me how cold she was. I left and bought the best sewing machine I could find. Of course, I did not know how to sew or put two pieces of material together. I had one more block to finish on the Grandmothers' Fan when she passed. That was over 50 years ago. Now having recently underwent surgery for cancer myself, my quilting and sewing helps me get through the rough times. Christine
