Grace
I love red. While shopping at Costco last year I found two way cool red chairs I could use in the living room. I wasn't really shopping for chairs, but what can a girl say? Now, dear husband was a little surprised at the unplanned purchase of RED chairs. I have to say I was a little surprised also! haha So, once we got over the shock we decided we really liked them and we love our new living room furniture (oh yes, it had to include way more than just 2 red chairs!).
I had a large wall space over the new sofa and the idea came from a quilt my grandchild Grace had been given when she faced brain surgery (she is doing awesome, thank you for wondering). She doesn't like red (but Gma does) so she asked me to take it home. I did, and I took detailed pictures of it because I was smitten by the color design and the quilting design...then I laundered it and recycled it right back to Children's Hospital.
Well, I had this extra fabric begging to be used (you can always use up some of your stash)...
And I had this quilting machine with the ability to do all that fancy quilting pattern...
So here is my re-creation (as a wall hanging) of the quilt given to my beautiful Grace by a loving person (if you happen to read this, thank you so much for the gift you gave to her and to me). Every day I look at this wall hanging and I think of Grace and that difficult time and I thank the Lord that we still have her funny little self to enjoy and love!
