  Bargello table runner

  My sister and I made this table runner to practice the Bargello style on a small project. We used fabric from my stash and a simple printed guide she had. I quilted it with stitch in a ditch using some lofty batting and a plain muslin back. The binding is the left over strips. We both liked the results. This would be good for a wall hanging. A full size quilt might be pretty challenging. The seams and cuts need to be really precise.

  I Love Coffee

  New baby on the way!

  A delightful colorful baby quilt for a soon to be borne grand niece. This is not too babyish, so it can be used for a lap quilt later. Pieced into flowers, with soft purple flannel on the back.

  Butterfly Strip Quilt

  I went to a local workshop for this MSQC pattern and I wanted to make it look more like a butterfly. I added extra corners on the bottom and solid bodies instead of the background strip. I used a Sugar Pie by Lella Boutique for Moda jelly roll, a lightweight silky Art Gallery denim and a bamboo batting. I love how it feels! This quilt is so soft and feels so wonderful to touch with the different textures. Hooray for selfish sewing!

  Three Bags Full

  These three medium sized bags were sewed and quilted from a Camilla Insulated bag pattern by Serendipity Studio. It might make great spring gifts. I selected an assortment of fabrics - batiks, linen and 100 percent cottons for the exterior, inner pockets and the lining of the bags. I also used fusible fleece as a stabilizer. I machine embroidered a hummingbird motif to the front of one of the bags and crafted fabric flowers. With some leftover fabric, I stitched a matching wristlet.

  Cathedral Windows

  Saw this in the 2015 BLOCK magazine and then watched Jenny's tutorial. This pattern had always scared me, couldn't quite understand the how tos. After reading and watching Jenny, I was able to make it. Not perfect, but I love it.
