I began quilting baby quilts when I learned I was expecting our first child. Being mostly self-taught, those first attempts were made with love as much as skill. After not quilting for many years, as my four children go older, I took some classes at a local quilt shop to update and learn new skills. As a retired science teacher, I now have more time to make quilt tops, usually having someone else machine quilt them. My favorite quilt types are samplers, as I enjoy making a lot of different blocks. I also enjoy the colors and prints of the Kansas Troubles Quilts lines, especially the flannels. I try to find time to make princess dresses for my granddaughters, and Christmas stockings for the mantle.
