I have been quilting since 1982, but became a "Quilter" about 2003 or so when a friend brought in her 14 year old daughter's first quilt to a meeting. At that point, I thought, "I can do THAT!" :-)

A Block of the Week Quilt for my King Size bed
I have a friend who went to Florida last winter. While she was there she went to Crafty Threads and subscribed to the newsletter. She thought it would be a brilliant thing if all of the members of her Quilt bee made the same block of the week Quilt. So here is mine.

Celtic Knots Wallhanging
My Quilt Guild offered a celtic knots class a couple of years ago. I signed up, because I love to learn new things and I wanted to support the classes - but I was pretty sure I would not like making celtic knots. (I nearly took another project to the class with me, so I would have something to do!) Well, I LOVED making the first knot and came home to make 3 more... I have been in a 'finishing' sort of mood lately (I have finished 15 projects since January 1st, 2016 from my 2 UFO boxes!) and I dug my four blocks out to complete the wall hanging. I absolutely love free motion quilting, and I had a blast finishing the project off! I hope you enjoy looking at it too.

Changing Directions
I made this mini quilt for my Crafty Gemini Quilt Club Jan. 2016 Swap Partner. It is the Double Goosed pattern with the Goose borders all from JeliQuilts. The theme for the swap was "CHANGE", so I thought the geese flying in different directions was appropriate.

Winter Forest with crossed canoes
I made this flannel quilt for my brother. I used Moda's Winter Forest collection. I designed the quilt to include the sable panels alternating with paper pieced crossed canoe blocks. As my brother lives at the "foothills" of the Adirondacks it was the perfect quilt for him. The fabric in this collection is sooo soft. I love it. It was quilted by a local long arm quilter.

Biblical Quilt
These are quilts that I have made over the years for various family members. This quilt in particular was made for our church when it moved to it's own building. A dear dear friend helped in making this both in hand piecing and hand quilting. I have been quilting many things for many years as well as my dear friend but I don't know how much longer I will be able to continue due to my advancing arthritis so I do as much as I can to leave a legacy for my friends, children and children's children. I have enjoyed every minute I've spent doing these quilts.....Enjoy
