Downton Abbey Yellow Brick Road
I won this fat quarter bundle from a gal's blog and knew it would be perfect to make a quilt for my grandma. She was a purple gal and these fabrics are gorgeous! I gave it to her for Christmas 2014, but then she passed suddenly in February 2015. She was at least able to enjoy it for a little while. The quilt has since been given to my great aunt (grandma's sister) and I know it meant a lot to her. Hopefully it will wrap her in comfort when she's feeling blue.

Apparently I can't read directions properly, so there was an additional post/cornerstone border around the blocks that wasn't in the pattern. Still worked out OK. Let's Hope I can get this done by Mother's Day! I started on it months ago and then I get distracted with other projects. I'm using the Lattice Quilt tutorial from MSQC to make it. I even bought the exact same fabric that Jenny used in the video. I even have the same sashing fabric (even though I have yet to make it that far) I had to scour the internet to find it! UPDATE: I got it finished a week before Mother's Day :) She loved it. I had enough fabric to do matching bed runner, pillows and pillow cases.
