Little Black Dress II Zipper Quilt
The moment I saw the Zipper Quilt Tutorial, done in Moda's LIttle Black Dress II fabric, I knew I had to do it - and do it big! My quilt is full/queen sized.

Tree Table Runner

The Spool Quilt

Pinwheels and Apple Applique
My mother loves anything apple themed. She s 88 1/2 yrs young & spend a lot of time in the den of her condo. When visiting, I noticed that except for a book or the tv, she had nothing on her walls to look at. So, I began making her some wall quilts for each season & incorporated apples whenever I could. This is my version of a Summer/4th of July.

Patriotic Orange Peel Table Runner
I love gadgets and the orange peel/football template "spoke" to me! Just a few things I did differently from the tutorial: 1. I precut the interfacing only. 2. I used yardage, scraps and fat quarters rather then a charm pack. To me, there is too much waste with a charm park. 3. I added prairie points onto the boarder for a little more pizazz. * Still have to sew on a few more buttons, but couldn't wait to post!

Dad's Quilt
This is the second quilt I ever made and it was for my Dad. I used the Eleanor Burns pattern for the rail fence and made it in red/white/blue because my dad was a veteran. When my dad was still living, he was so proud to have this on his bed.

Tall Trim The Tree - Modified
This is a paper pieced Christmas tree wall hanging. It is sized perfect for a standard door in width and length. I modified the pattern by adding "gift" pockets to the bottom, and button holes to insert battery operated LED lights from the backside. It worked wonderfully for a countdown to Christmas (buttons for hanging one ornament a day in December) as well as a great spot to put Christmas cards from friends and family.

Dresden Heart
Found the Dresden Heart pattern here: http://quiltingupacreek.com/free.htm. The rest fell into place once I had the "heart" completed. My husband suggested the bear applique. The little sawtooth border was made using scraps.

This quilt came from a mystery class. It's a star in a star with Irish chain. I changed one of the stars to red and also pieced a "super size" block into the back. I love black & white with a splash of red!! The pattern is not yet published, but I believe that is in the works.
