I began sewing in 6th grade, after asking my Mom to make some clothes for me for school, and she chose to introduce me to sewing, instead! I loved sewing, and I loved wearing my new clothes! What a gift it was ... however, my life was busy and unpredictable, beginning in my teen years. I left sewing for quite some time. In retirement, I picked up sewing as a hobby, most interested in quilting and embroidery by machine. I love to do both, and use my newly acquired knowledge to make quilts, table runners, tree skirts and door hangings for my family and friends. I continue challenging myself to learn new techniques and to improve the appearance of my overall end-product. Thanks to Jenny and other instructors, I am able to make quilts and other items to give away, proudly, as gifts.
