All I could think of while sewing hers, was how beautiful this quilt would look using Rober Kauffman Holiday Flourish fabrics. I am very proud because I quilted this myself, using metallic thread in the ribbons and doing the wavy free motion quilting in the background for the first time. The pattern called the Ribbon Box Quilt which can be found on Cloud 9 Fabrics website under their free patterns tab. It has served me well doing strightline machine quilting on kingsized quilts. However, I am still getting the hang of the embroidery part of it. Here a cushion that I have made as a Christmas gift for one of my great-nephew's school friends. She has just had surgery so I am hoping this will cheer her up. I particulary like how the FM stippling has turnout, I used a Superior Threads - glitter (111 colour) which give a lovely translucent sheen to the thread when it catches the light. The embroidery design is available online. By theredoneaunt 10 LIKES | 1153 VIEWS Dollhouse for Fiona For my 2-year old granddaughter - all scraps from many quilt projects.
