I began quilting to give me something to do as I waited for my homeschooled children to complete their classwork. Quilting allowed me to be busy in the room and yet free enough to stop and help them as needed. My learning experience has been independent but inspiration has come through my mother, who is an amazing quilter and my friend, Beth, who taught me hand quilting. These past few years my favorite projects have been to help non-quilters to produce blocks to incorporate into gift quilts for brides-to-be. It is such a joy to see how excited they are when they complete a beautiful block.
