I bought the jelly rolls at Tuesday Morning for $3.00 each. I found Jennie tutorial for this pattern. I decided to make it for my soon to be 4 year old granddaughter. I wanted a quilt that would grow with her and not be so juvenile.

Around the World.
I told my daughter to pick out a pattern and fabric and I would make her a quilt. We perused mountains of fabric and patters. Finally, I found the Around the World tutorial. It intrigued her so we set out to find her perfect fabric. She loved this Casablanca fabric set from RJR. Only one problem, it was out of stock. I checked MSQC everyday until it was back in stock. My friend Janet Godwin quilted it. I finished the binding this afternoon. Tomorrow I begin her brother's quilt.

This quilt was made from the MSQC tutorial. I bought a jelkroll of plaid fabrics a d decided to make this quilt. I have always wanted to make a quilt using black. This seemed to be the perfect opportunity. I will post a picture of the completed quilt.

Colorado Mountains
Imade this quilt for my son who has moved from the flat shore of the Gulf of Mexico to Colorado's mountains. He has traded mudriding and deep sea fishing for rock climbing and skiing. I thought this pattern, Delectable Mountains, would be perfect. I tried to find fabric that would have meaning for him. He has a herd of deer who will eat out of his hand. They visit daily for corn and apples.

My son's girlfriend loves bears. She lives in Colorado and has traveled all over to study bears. Her dream job was offered to her last year. She was to live on an island in Alaska and study bears. I made this quilt for my twin sister. She has a new house. Her daughter in law painted a fabulous painting in blues for her living room. She wanted the quilt to match the colors in the painting. I used batiks, which I love, because the match the modern style of the painting.

I saw this tutorial and knew I had to make it. I used Lily &Loom Daisy Delites. I made it for my granddsughter who asked for a quilt to use on the couch. This fabric is all her. It is bright and cheery.nI am goingvto try to quilt it myself. I will add a picture ehen it is finished. I made her quilt using 9 squares so it is a good size for a 4 year old. I made a doll quilt to match today. I folded the back over to make the binding. I had never done this before. It worked really well for this small quilt.

I made my granddaughter a quilt just like this made of 3 rows of 3 stars. I had enough fabric left to make her a quilt for her dolls. This time I folded the backing over to make the binding. I had never sone this before. It worked great for this small quilt.

Snail Trail
I made my twin sister a quilt earlier this year. After I finished it, I realized that I better make one for my other sister too. I looked through the tutorials on Missouri Star Quilt Co and decided to make the Snail Trail quilt for her. I looked and looked for just the right fabirc and found it in Ella by Whistler Studios. I love this shade of blue. It is more an indigo blue. I can't wait for my sister to receive her package in the mail. It is going to be a great surprise.

Snail’s Trail in Blue
I made this quilt as a birthday gift for my son’s girlfriend. She loves the color blue and is a little bit more contemporary than traditional in style. I purchased the 10” squares, called Dutchess Metallic, and other yardage from that collection from the MSQC. The fabric is truly gorgeous with a subtle hint of metallic. I also used a butterfly print from the same collection for the entire backing. Very pleased how it turned out. Hope she loves it!
