Quatrefoil Quilt
I made this quilt for my daughter who sometimes suffers with depression. I wanted to make her a cheerful quilt, and the Quatrefoil pattern seemed just perfect.
It started out being a lap quilt, but I ended up adding more borders at the last minute, so now it's twin size. And, of course, since I added the add'l borders, I did not have enough flannel for the backing, so I ended up piecing the back with leftover blocks from other quilts I made.
I only had layer cakes and jelly rolls to use for this quilt, so I used my 4.5" Sizzix die to cut all the squares. The layer cakes were a mixture of Zoey Christine and Fresh Lilacs. I used some Zoey Wisteria jelly roll strips for the binding.
The borders were yardage of Violet Butterfly Garden fabric by Timeless Treasures. It was such a beautiful purple fabric with little butterflies. The little butterflies made me smile, so I'm sure this quilt will put many smiles on my daughter's face.
