I have been sewing since I was 10, so that gives me 55 years of experience. I started sewing in 4-H and made almost all of my clothes thru high school. I have made everything from drapes to hand made jointed teddy bears. I started quilting in 2006 and haven't stopped. I love the fabrics, colors and patterns that quilting provides.

Doctor Who quilt
My youngest son is turning 35 on Sept. 1st and he has been a Doctor Who fan forever. When I saw the Doctor Who fabric I knew I just had to make a quilt for his birthday.

Ice Cream Quilt
I purchased this quilt from Craftsy because I loved the colors that reminded me of sherbert on a hot summer day. It is made with Kaffe Fassett fabrics with pattern by Bobbi Penniman. This quilt was originally a project for me but ended up as a wedding present for my youngest son and his new wife.

When I first saw this quilt in MOD Block magazine I knew that it was on my bucket list of quilts. My LQS is having a contest using the 2020 Kona color of the year, Enchanted and I knew this was the quilt I was going to make. I paired it with black and did a simple diagonal quilt design to "amplify" the design.

I saw this at my LQS and later discovered that Krista Moser was giving a class on this quilt. I have always been drawn to Krista's quilts and timing was perfect. Advent Calendar
I made this advent calendar for my son's family. It was my introduction to quilting. I recently modified it to make it easier for the grandchildren to load up Santa's sleigh. The concept of this calendar is to put a toy/gift in Santa's sleight every day in December. When Santa's sleigh is loaded up (12/24) he is ready to make his trip to visit the children. With velcro on the back of each item it should be easier for the grandchildren to load up Santa's sleigh
