Hand stitched my first quilt when I was 15 years old in 1970. Fast forward to 2014....I started quilting again with a sewing machine, It has become my passion. Love quilting by the sea in my beach condo in historic Ocean Grove, NJ.

Summer in the Park
Summer in the Park is a quick and fun quilt. I went scrappy by mixing up the blocks. I'd probably not use the navy and red strips or the very light background with large print. I used quilt as you go on the 16" squares. I was really happy to see how well the pre-quilting lines came together where blocks joined.

Off The Grid
I've never done a "modern" quilt with negative space and no border. I took the class 'Off The Grid' taught by Lee Heinrich at QuiltCon 2015 to stretch me out of my traditional layout comfort zone. We made the blocks ahead of time and then played with different modern layouts in class.
