I used a layer cake with 42 squares and added 7 squares from my stash for a total of 49 squares. The layout is 7x7, stitched with 1/2" seams for a finished size of 63" x 63". Using a layer cake took the stress out of coordinating fabrics. By Rebecca 9 LIKES | 1392 VIEWS Christmas Cabin One of my first quilts- a Christmas gift for my brother's family.
