I am a wife of 51 years, a mother of three and a grandmother to six, ages 4 through 19. I have been sewing since Junior High School, when 'Home Economics' was a requirement for girls! My love of quilting started around 1980 when I took a class at a woman's house. She is now one of my best friends. Back then, I only did handwork and won several ribbons at local quilt shows...quilts were so much simpler then. For many years I have only made quilts by machine. My passion is appliqué. This year I received two ribbons from my guild. I never think my quilts are spectacular compared to what's out there now, but the people I give them to love them.
