Once Upon A Time there was a woman who couldn’t sing, dance, draw or play an instrument. That would be me. In 2014, I pulled my old Husquvarna sewing machine out of the back of my closet and decided to try quilting. My Aunt Julie is an award-winning quilter and I have been the lucky recipient of several of her quilts over the years. Every journey begins with a single step. I started out small with a Batik wall hanging for my daughter. Then a flannel baby quilt for a friend. I took a class on Craftsy.com, joined a Quilting Guild and met so many creative, talented, friendly women. I asked questions, listened to their suggestions, asked more questions, read some magazines and became addicted to Missouri Star Quilt Company tutorials on YouTube. I had found an outlet for my creativity and daily inspiration from Jenny. In 2015, my husband David and I decided to relocate to Tennessee from Texas. At the top of my wish list was a house where I would have room for my growing “stash” of fabrics and quilts-in-progress. We found our dream home in Loudon, Tennessee and I have my own quilting studio in the basement. We love Tennessee and are blessed to be living our Happily Ever After.
