I love the Sumatra Batiks design roll and wanted to make a quilt with it. Saw Jenny's video on Dresdens Squared and modified it for a jelly roll. I had to use three different colors and only ended up with 12 blocks. I added center circles from Benartex's Tie-Dye Batiks charms and blanket stitched around using coordinating thread. I then added the one inch sashing. I think it came out pretty cute. :)

Autumn Quatrefoil & Friendship Braid Table Topper

I loved Jenny's tutorial for the quatrefoil and wanted to use it for an autumn table topper. I purchased Jinny Beyer's beautiful "Bedfordshire Autumn" layer cake and wanted to show off all the beautiful prints and colors, so I added Natalie's friendship braid to either side of the quatrefoil block. I used a lovely leaf print in coordinating rich fall colors for the backing and binding. I really love the colors and how it came together. I think am going to try this in Christmas colors next!

Splendor Disappearing Pinwheel 5 Twist

Pioneer Braid

This was a great way to use up a lot of my scraps! I made the rows longer and added more rows to make it wider as well. I use it as a bed spread on our queen size bed as a result of its larger size. This quilt is one of my favorites because my husband's aunt hand quilted it for us.

Nick's Maze

This pattern looked like the perfect one for my grandson. The tan fabric is the walkway, the light blue is the wall and the dark blue is the wall shadow. It was so much fun to make, following the path as I finished each block. It really works and goes back and forth thru most of the quilt.

My first quilt

After learning the basics of quilting in 2013, I decided to make my first full-sized quilt for myself. As soon as I saw the falling charms tutorial by Jenny, I fell in love with it. The best part about the pattern was that there were no intersections, which I find quite intimidating. This is meant to be a bed spread for my king-size bed. I finished it summer of 2015. I used the left-over squares to make a cover for my nightstand and made curtains out of the backing fabric.

Stained Glass

This quilt is from one of the French Braid quilts books. I loved the appearance of stained glass and reference to Frank Lloyd Wright. It was one of the first quilts I made after taking a few classes and learning some quilting basics and it's still one of my favorites.
