I am very new to quilting. I only have one completed project so far, but I am totally enjoying watching Jenny and her tutorials. I have learned so much and now I can pretty much look at quilts and figure out the blocks. Looking forward to many more years of learning and quilting.

4th of July Table Runner
We just moved to a new state. I was left at home alone while my husband worked and my kids went to school. I needed a new hobby, so when I found Jenny and her tutorials I was hooked! This is my first completed piece. I have made a few tops but didn't want to finish them until I knew how to quilt them together better. Thank you for looking :)

My Happy Quilt

I am super excited to introduce Picket Fence to you! She is the second in my budding line of quilt patterns! Picket Fence is a versatile pattern that looks great in many fabric collections! Sweet pastels or bold, masculine prints are perfect for Picket Fence. The cover quilt is lap size in PB&J by Basic Grey. The pink, yellow and green version is the original Picket Fence in Spring quilt from 2012, making it up as I sewed. This quilt is the reason I named the pattern Picket Fence; it reminded me of a white picket fence on a lovely spring day, thus the name, Picket Fence in Spring. Aly's Quilt
When my nieces and nephew were babies, I bought each of them a quilt. They loved their quilts and were particular about spreading them out on their made beds to "showcase" them. Unfortunately, in February of this year (2015), their house burned down and consumed everything inside. It was a total loss. Being a novice (NEW) quilter, I just knew I had to make them each a new quilt to replace what was lost. I had told the children that what was lost was just stuff, and we would get them new and better stuff. They will all be moving back into the rebuilt house in August, and I plan to give them each their quilts for Christmas. I tried to make each quilt as individual and beautiful as each child. I hope they love them and cherish them for the rest of their lives :)

Found the cowboy fabric on line a decided it would be the perfect centerpiece for a quilt I wanted to make for a friend whose into square dancing. The star block is the "Nifty Star" from Celia Eddy's The Quilter's Block Bible (Quarto, 2003). It was fun shopping for other western themed fabrics (I probably bought enough to make another ten cowboy quilts.)

My first attempt at free motion quilting with my sewing machine. I love how the washer and dryer hide some mistakes. :). I cut the 5 inch squares from yardage, because I hadn't yet discovered Precuts.

The Ribbon Box Quilt
I made this RIBBON BOX QUILT, by Cloud9 Fabrics for my new granddaughter. Her mom requested mint green, peach and gray colors. I added a touch of yellow. There are no "blocks" in this pattern. It's made by creating rows, piece by piece, with no borders. The straight line quilting was done by a LQS because I'm still not the best at FMQ on my domestic machine. It was definitely one of my favorites...so much fun to create!

Lilacs Wedding Quilt
The last few yards of Fresh Lilacs by Debbie Beaves of Maywood Studios remained in my favorite quilting shop. The shop also offered a Missouri Quilt Block Class, Goodnight Irene, from Missouri Quilt Magazine Book (Spring 2015 Vol. 2, issue 2) and I knew it was a match. Jennie's video tutorial helped a lot. It was a challenge to figure out what quilting design to use. Using my walking foot, I finally settled on straight line stitching in the "X" sections, free motion quilting in the squares and border. It's my first wedding quilt and I was so pleased with how it turned out.
