I've only been quilting about 1 1/2 years. Still trying to get the hang of free motion quilting. There aren't many quilting shops (2) in my area - most of what I have learned came from a class I took last year and all of Jenny's tutorials! This website is awesome - I truly enjoy looking and admiring all the quilts here.

I made this quilt for a coworker who is an avid hunter. I actually had to make it twice. After I cut the panel and started to put it together, I noticed the larger deer's eyes were in seperate windows! it really looked odd so I purchased another panel, salvaged what I already cut and proceeded with this finished project. He and his wife loved it none the less!

I couldn't wait to use my tumbler die for my Accuquilt! I had also decided that I was going to practice my FMQ skills on this one so I purchased some fabric from Joannes on a really great sale. I was planning on donating it so I didn't have a lot of money or sentiment tied up in my first FMQ attempt. It was very liberating and not terribly stressful. I encourage anyone afraid of trying out their first FMQ experience not to put a lot of $$ or mental attachment in the quilt itself.
