This is my first "bigger" quilt...made with flannels. I have made several smaller lap quilts. My friend quilted it for me because I was afraid to try to do it myself. I am determined to learn how to use her machine and do it myself next time!

Weighted Blanket

Made for a friend with anxiety issues. I made one for my daughter also, and she loves it. It is made with 12 pounds of poly beads. 1/2 cup of beads per square. Not difficult, just a little tedious at times...have to be careful not to run over a bead when sewing!

Rainbow Star Baby Quilt Pattern

I recently completed a Rainbow Star Baby Quilt as a custom order in my Etsy shop. This quilt is so fun to make, and the rainbow spectrum is totally dazzling! A white background is always sparkling with the rainbow, but the gray is more practical for a bouncing baby boy! Now that I have figured out EQ7, I was able to show the quilt to my customer with both a white and gray background, and she chose the gray. If you can't wrap your brain around EQ7, just hold onto it and wait a few years and then try again. That's what I did, and I just get it now! My brain just needed to age more, I guess! Jelly Roll Rugs

This was my first time making a jelly roll rug. I mistakenly made up the whole jelly roll with the 50 yard Bosal Katahdin Batting. Thoughts for next time; this time I just started sewing the strips as they came off the roll, next time I will divide the roll in half and then organize the strips so that I get dark in the center, light in the middle and dark on the outer edge for each of the rugs. It was not as hard as I thought it would be. Good tips in the RJ designs pattern. Glad I made 2 and very happy with both of them.

navy quilt

I had some pretty Amy Butler floral, apple green and pepto-bismol pink fabric in my stash. I found some interesting swirly chevron fabric on sale which coordinated, used it for the sashing and binding. Fussy cut the floral and chevron fabric in the sashing. Navy minky on the back and a wool/poly blend batting. I tried to keep the quilting to a moderate amount so the texture stayed soft. I think this will be a good couch quilt, won't show much dirt.

Hawaiian Memory

I made this batik quilt for a dear friend of the family. This person taught 4th grade with my Mom for years and they enjoyed travel and crafts together outside of their teaching. We shared a trip to Hawaii back in 1977. I made this quilt for her now that she is an adult facility in remembrance of that wonderful experience we shared many years ago.
