I have a new granddaughter arriving in December and this is for her. I had the butterfly fabric in my stash for 9 years and decided it was time to use it. I think it goes nice with the charm packs I had recently purchased from MSQ as a daily deal. The pattern is one of Jennys.

Heirloom quilt
I made this for a friends first grandchild. My friends mother passed several years ago and she had saved a flannel bathrobe that belonged to her mother. The new babies gender is not being revealed. One side of the quilt is for a girl (with the bathrobe fabric, pink with purple flowers) and the other for a boy. The plan is to bring the baby home from the hospital with this blanket. Any additional children will also be brought home with it, and then it will be passed to the next generation to use. I enjoyed making it and can't wait to see the reaction of the new mother. My friend loved it

Star Wars
This is for my grandson who will be 9 in January. He is a big Star Wars fan. I backed it with minky. Normally I do my own quilting (just straight lines) but wanted something special for this. So I had it quilted and love the design. Plus I wasn't crazy about working with the minky :) I hope he likes it.

Summer in the Park
I made this quilt for my daughter. She picked the pattern and material. I cut my own fabric but followed the Summer in the Park tutorial from MSQC. The front is batiks except the white background. The back has flannel on it. It came out really bright and beautiful. She loves it.

Here'S another quilt made from the Michele D'Amore fabrics. Love this color Way! I used my mitered piano key border on this one. I love doing piano key borders mitered rather than just butted up against each other. I do the mitered first instead of last, doing all 4 corners first, then filling in the middle of each side with additional piano key strips. If I need to make the strips a bit narrower or wider to fit, you notice it much less in the middle rather than at the corners. My friend quilted this as a practice quilt while learning to use my longarm. She quilted her beautiful 365 day challenge quilt ( in last picture) on my longarm after just a little bit of practice!

Square Dance Quilt
My mother-in-law has had a rough couple of years being in the nursing home. She wishes she could in her home. It's just not possible. My husband asked me to make her a quilt using her favorite color, pink. I saw Jenny's tutorial on the Square Dance Quilt and thought that would be perfect. I found the Sukura charm packs by Moda and I was all set to make a Mother's Day Quilt for my mother-in-law. I had my long-arm quilter do a hummingbird pattern on the quilt (mom loves hummingbirds) and on an extra block I had with the idea I'd make a coordinating pillow. I finished hand stitching the binding on last night and we're putting it in the mail today so my sister-sin-law can give it to her for us on Mother's Day. Thanks for looking.

Puny Cat Quilt
I saw a tutorial from Jenny at Missouri Star Quilt Co. and knew it was the perfect pattern for the UofA fabric I bought to make my daughter a quilt. I call it Puny Cat Quilt because UofA's mascot is a wild cat. Everyone who has seen my quilt loved it. My daughter's room mates want me to make them quilts also.
