This is the first quilt I ever made. My sister talked me into a paper piecing class and I've been hooked ever since. A non-traditional log cabin made for baby Catie, grandchild no. 7! The girls at my local quilt shop helped pick out the fabrics. I used the left over fabric for the back.

Vintage Star Meets Urban Oasis
I saw the free pattern called BOHO Vintage Star on the Moda Bakeshop website and decided to give it a try. I LOVE the colors of this fabric. I get compliments on it all the time.

I used a layer cake but you could also use charm squares.

This quilt took first place at the Pecos Valley Quilt Show and second place at the Eastern New Mexico State Fair.

Hip & Square Graduation
Loved the crazy fabric line of Juggling Summer and found 'Get Hip and Be Square' pattern on the Hoffman Fabric site. I made it for my husband's niece's high school graduation. The pattern is no longer found on the Hoffman site but it was designed by Larene Smith of the Quilted Button.

Bright & Bold Carpenter's Star
I made my oldest daughter (in picture) a Carpenter's Star, oversized queen, for her birthday. She had long ago worn out the quilt I made her when she was a teenager and had been asking for another quilt for quite some time. I decided to use bright, bold, happy fabrics rather than more traditional ones.
