I am a wife, mother, and teacher. Reading Specialist/Literacy Coach is my profession. I have Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of MD, College Park. GO TERPS!!! My 3 children are grown. I became a first-time grammie in 2016 when both of my sons and their wives had baby daughters! I coordinate mission quilting at my church for Lutheran World Relief. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my pets (3 cats and 4 grandcats). I like knitting, gardening, quilting, and reading. I piece on a Singer 237 and a Janome Jem. I recently purchased a Janome 7700. Lots to learn with this machine and hope to be able to do my own quilting. I am a 5th generation Washingtonian. I live 30 min from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD. We are fortunate to have many wonderful quilt shops in MD. I also order from MSCQ and love Jenny Doan's tutorials!
