A high school friend's son is expecting a child (gender known -- I like the idea of a surprise!) in February 2016. I wanted to give this new grandpa, my dear friend, a simple baby quilt for he and his wife to have for their new grandchild or to give to his son and daughter-in-law. The new father is a professional NFL player and I think it would be nice for them to have something homemade! This is also my first attempt at long arm quilting! I haven't added the binding yet. Completed pictures to come!

My first grandchild is due in September, 2016. This is a first of many items for him/her (will know gender next month). So many things to make, so little time! My husband and I made this together....yes he sews!!! Our blocks were 9 inches wide and we used a 1/2 inch seam allowance. We followed the YouTube tutorial by Sew So Easy. It really was!
