I have been sewing since I was 10 years old, making my own clothes and later clothes for my children. I always remained fascinated by my grandmother's quilt and said "one day I will make quilts". Fast forward to early retirement in 2013 and I juggle my time with my mom (94), grandchildren (soon to have 6). In 2015 I took a class as I wanted to learn proper quilting techniques. What started as a sampler quilt, turned out to be my 1st king-size quilt which I called Purple Passion. Then I was hooked. I shopped, and discovered a whole world of quilt stores, each carrying different lines of fabric (more inspiratioon). I made quilts for my mom, grand-children, relatives and special girlfriends who turned 60. My husband also got hooked, and has bought his own machines and stash. My stash builds as well as my skills. My goal is to make a large (queen/king) quilts for each of our children, niece and nephews, and special friends. At this rate, I will have to live longer that my grand-ma (102) in order to finish them all. The good thing is that I am focused and fast when I work on a quilt (production style). Enjoy my quilts.
