FIRST completed project - Zig Zag Table Runner
Not a quilt but it is my VERY FIRST completed sewing project. I couldn't wait to post my first completed quilt. Skills I learned are: *Fabric Selection *Measuring & Rotary Cutting fat quarters into 5" charm ( used just a few pre-cut charms for added color and texture) *Machine stitching - top stitch and quilt in the ditch

My third quilted Zig Zag Table Runner. Yep! I'm on a roll! This is for my sweet aunt who surprised me years ago by hand crocheting an entire Christmas tree's worth of ornaments in mauve and cream colors. She deserves it!

My first three 10 MINUTE TABLERUNNERS. I was finally able to use the Christmas themed fabric that was in my Mom's stash for many years. I enjoyed selecting coordinating fabrics (Walmart) and learning to create the pointed ends. (Nov 2015)

SET: Patriotic Table Scarves
Using the MSQC Periwinkle Template was the key to creating these easy table scarves in patriotic hues. I think 3 of them on a long table would be festive. Riley Blake Designs STAR SPANGLED charm packs purchased from MSQC. Pellon Fusible Interfacing was used in the middle to stiffen. JEWEL TONED TABLE SCARF
A planned hostess gift for a friend who has a beautiful jewel toned, gradient Christmas tree. Batik charms from MSQC on the front. Used a MSQC grab bag scrap on the back that has a batik sea turtle print. Thought I'd never use that when I saw it! However, I think it's perfect for this! So, now it is reversible: the top for Christmas and the back for Summer by the pool. (Nov 2015)

Double Square Star Table Scarf
My first attempt at "free style" - meaning that I did not follow a Jenny YouTube tutorial to the letter! I saw the block and thought it could make a pretty table mat for a small square table. The block comes together easily enough. I used the Zig Zag Tablerunner's sandwich method to place a back and low loft batting inside. I stitched in the ditch just enough to hold it steady. (Dec 2015) Snowflake Fabric = Hobby Lobby exclusive (leftover charms from a Zig Zag Tablerunner) Solid Fabric = Unknown source (from Mom's stash)

Somerset Table Scarf
Rec'd this Somerset floral on brown print fabric scrap in a MSQC grab bag. The white is from a pre-cut charm pack. The back was purchased from Walmart's discount bin for 75¢. The thread is a variegated green and almost yellow thread - just for fun! This is perfect for my sis-in-law's interior colors. Decided she needs 3 to make a complete set for her living and dining area. Hope she likes the first machine sewn gift that I've made for her! (Dec 2015)

Frosty Winter
Had a few squares left from my earlier zig zag tablerunner so I decided to make these two cuties for my friend/hair dresser/neighbor. Top fabric from Hobby Lobby; Back fabric was a fat quarter from Walmart. I'd sent previous creations to family but was not there to see their reaction when they opened the package. I enjoyed seeing her surprise when she opened her gift. She knows I'm a beginner and I told her if everybody else has to endure it, so does she! I do believe she liked them! (Dec 2015)
