Jenny did this tutorial on the Astrick/Ditto quilt. I thought this would make a great graduation quilt for my Grandson #3, he's 8. I wanted him to be as unique as his name, Maverick. I made one block different to resemble him. I used his favorite color teal and chose the white with silver mini dots to accent and good contrast. I used a gray on the back with the gray metalic as my cover strips. I did make this as a "quilt as you go" block, it worked out great! As I was doing the quilting on the white strips, it made a nice little star design in the center, cool!
After a long illness of kidney disorder my sister recently had to make the decision to have her precious rag doll cat euthanised after he went into renal failure. She's totally devastated & heart broken for her beautiful cat & best friend. At the very time of her heart ache I was in the process of making a gorgeous cat pattern that I stumbled across on a site and was making it just because I wanted to 'bust some of my stash'. When I spoke to my sister & she told me of Jasper's passing I knew that this project would be gifted to her. I love how it has turned out & I really hope she loves it too.
My niece asked me to make her baby Malakhi who turned one on the 9th of April a little outfit for his special day. She knew exactly what she wanted him to wear so I set about making this gorgeous little outfit for him. I can't help but share it with you all
