Be Unique As Your Name
Jenny did this tutorial on the Astrick/Ditto quilt. I thought this would make a great graduation quilt for my Grandson #3, he's 8.
I wanted him to be as unique as his name, Maverick. I made one block different to resemble him. I used his favorite color teal and chose the white with silver mini dots to accent and good contrast. I used a gray on the back with the gray metalic as my cover strips. I did make this as a "quilt as you go" block, it worked out great! As I was doing the quilting on the white strips, it made a nice little star design in the center, cool!
